The natal house of the discoverer will have the role of giving back to Trujillo the vitality of an important part of its historical, artistic and cultural patrimony. It will be a center for investigation, study, and making known the feat of the discovery and navigation of the Amazon River, and the historical character of that most forgotten of heroes: Francisco de Orellana.
